USE AND CARE
We are very pleased you have chosen BergHOFF to take with you wherever you go. Thank you for your trust in our company and the quality we deliver. To ensure optimal use, please read the safety and care tips we’ve listed below.
SAFETY TIPS
- This lunch box is ideal for bread meals, or even for snacks or lunches that contain solid food in combination with a sauce or dressing.
- For a secure vacuum and leakproof seal, the silicone ring fits tightly against the body. To open more easily, first release the vacuum and then lift one side of the lid using the cutout in the lunchbox, while keeping the other side in place.
- To minimise bacterial growth, and because some food is perishable, it’s best to restrict transportation and storage in open air to the minimum.
- Avoid direct sunlight and hot ambient temperatures.
- Store lunch boxes with food in a cool place, and in the refrigerator whenever possible.
- Do not use the lunch box in the oven, under the grill or on the cooktop.
- This lunch box is not intended to be used for food preparation.
- Food can possibly stain the plastic. This has no effect on the quality and functionality of the product.
- When transporting the lunch box, always keep it upright and ensure that the strap is correctly fastened around the lunch box to reduce the risk of leaking any liquid food.
-
This item is not intended to keep food hot or cold for a long time, but to carry food with you during the day and eventually reheat it before consumption.
Freezer use
- Do not place hot food directly in the freezer. Allow your food to cool to room temperature before closing the lid, sealing the lunch box using the vacuum function, and placing it in the freezer.
- Place the container upright in the freezer. This prevents food from freezing to the lid or leaking during the freezing process.
DISHWASHER use
- All parts, excluding the elastic cotton strap, are dishwasher safe. Make sure the parts are secured tightly so they can’t touch the dishwasher’s heating element to avoid melting.
- The lid and body should be placed on the dishwasher’s top rack to reduce heat exposure.
- After washing, allow all parts to dry completely before closing the lid or using the vacuum function.
Microwave use
- Before use in the microwave, open the cover first. Do not thaw frozen food in these lunch boxes, only use them in the microwave to heat up food for max. 3min. at 600W.
- Do not reheat the lunch box in the microwave repeatedly. Allow the lunch box to cool before reheating again.
- Do not use the vacuum function during microwave heating.
